The date today is January 25, 2017. The date of my last recipe for you guys? November 2, 2016. I feel so stinkin' bad. There are reasons I haven't posted anything recently, but I'm so sorry for dropping off the face of the earth.

Can you believe I went all October and didn't post ONE pumpkin recipe?!?! I know I can't!! Man, sorry guys! To make it up to you, I made this super yummy pumpkin pie smoothie JUST for you! Tasty enough for a snack (or even desert!) and healthy enough for breakfast.....you're going to love this!
Fall is totally here! I'm thrilled because fall is my absolute favorite season. That and late summer. I love late summer too. However, part of my favorite season (fall, let's not get confused here) is the fabulous food that comes with it! Pumpkin, cinnamon and spice, chia latte's, pumpkin pie spice......oooohhhhh. I just love it! My second favorite part of fall is hearty, warm breakfasts. Since there is farm work to do out in the cold, a warm breakfast is priceless. This sage sausage and apples is sooooo stinkin' good after coming in from the cold! The combo of savory meat pared with cinnamon apples is just right. Even 8 year old sissy likes this!
That was a mouthful. I never can come up with good titles for my recipes. Major sad face right there. But thankfully the actually recipe makes up for the name. I love this smoothie baby! I wanted something healthy, yet delicious. Which, in my opinion those two words should always be together when it comes to food!
This smoothie is packed with nutrition, flavor, and a little chocolate! Perfect combo! It has chia seeds and nut butter which both are excellent protein which will keep you full. Coffee will give you that little pick up you need in the morning, as well as the small amount of chocolate. |
