I kept hearing about these cookies for several years. I had never had one, nor did my family make them, but it was one Christmas to many without them when I finally got around to making them. That was two years ago. I've been making these ever since and everyone loves them! It's a tradition I make these the week before Christmas. No reason, that's just how it happened. So soft and moist, and rich with chocolate, crinkled with powdered sugar....Ah, these are SO good!

No Christmas season is complete without sugar cookies! I'm one of those people who has to have just THE right sugar cookie recipe or I hate making them. Some say I'm nuts cause a sugar cookie is a sugar cookie. I say, no sugar cookie is created equal. Am I right? I'm so in love with these! I know, I know. I was saying earlier that I'm not a big fan of Christmas cookies......unless it's a good one! And these SO are! Yummy, moist, the perfect cookie for cutting into Christmas trees, bells, stars, or whatever you want!
Apparently everything is better up river. Never been "up river" but this meatloaf is pretty dang good! Meatloaf is like chili. Everyone has their own special kind they make and don't ever make ANY other kind. I guess we're kind of like that too, but every once and a while I want to give a different kind a try. I'm glad I did!
I think cookies are the most common thing people make in December. Don't know why, I much rather make a awesome cake, or brownie or pie or whatever. But alas, it's not that way and I end up making cookies around Christmas time just like everyone else. Which isn't a bad thing by the way. ;) You think cranberries are so last month? Think again! Not only do these cookies taste, like, awesome, but they're so pretty! They got perfect Christmas colors and everything! Oh, and they're most, not like those crunchy dog biscuit cookies...Mmm....Theses are good!
