Chocolate Chip Cookies
2 sticks of butter, softened*
1-1/2 cup sucanat
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2-1/4 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup chocolate chips (or more!!)
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Mix the first four ingredients in a bowl until smooth. Add the flour, baking soda, and salt and mix till smooth. Add the chocolate chips and nuts. Mix well.
Drop by tablespoons onto a NOT greased baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. They will look slightly underdone, but that's good, that's what you want for a chewy cookie! Remove from the pan right away and allow to cool on a wire rack. There! You're done! Enjoy!
* If you don't have softened butter out and are to lazy, or, uh, I mean, need cookies right now then you can melt the butter, but just be sure to add another 1/2 cup of flour to the dough.
