DIY Cream of Chicken Soup
4 Tbsp. butter
4 Tbsp. flour
1 cup chicken broth
1/3 cup milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. granulated garlic
In a saucepan, melt the butter and whisk in flour until smooth. Allow mixture to cook a minute or so then slowly add the chicken broth, whisking constantly. Add the milk and spices; allow mixture to come back up to temperature. Remove from heat and allow to sit a few minutes to thicken. Use in any recipe that calls for cream of chicken soup. Make equivalent to 1 can.
